This is a spiritual retreat for High School students put on by the
Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. It will be held at
the Wesley Center in Woodworth Louisiana (just south of Alexandrea). We
always take a large group and it's always been an amazing experience.
Come discover what it means to be "rooted" and have a blast in the
process while meeting other christian teenagers from all over
Louisiana.
This year we will be attending the FIRST weekend, April 1st-3rd.
If you'd like to register, you can print out this form (click here)
and turn it in with your $85 registration fee (Scholarships available
for those in need, please don't let financial trouble keep you from attending) to Kyle or Sandra in the front office. You can also register online (click here). If you register online, be sure to register for "Retreat 1" and be sure to select "Acadiana" district and choose "Asbury UMC, Lafayette" as your church. You will still need to turn in a signed covenant (click here) to Kyle before the deadline and be sure to write on the form "registered online".
Trip Info: We will meet at the church at 5:45 pm on Friday and grab some grub on
the way up. Meals will be provided all day Saturday and breakfast on
Sunday. Then we will grab some lunch (and pies) at Lea's Lunch Room on
the way home. We should be back around 2:30 pm on Sunday. We'll get the kids to call parents when we are an hour out. The only spending money the kids will need will be for
food on the way up and back and for the YSF store (t shirts, candy, necklaces......). They should also bring a bible and toiletries. Bed sheets and towels are provided by the conference center. Let me know if you
