community missions
Asbury is truly doing God's work, not only within the walls of our church, but with our collective actions each and every day out in the community. Listed below are some of the ways you can become involved in our mission work:


Acadiana Outreach Center:
volunteers are needed to take care of their houses, provide treats or provide a night of Bible study.

Boy Scout/Cub Scout: help lead youth in their growth in moral strength and character.

Faith House: help clean this shelter for abused women, prepare meals, or yard maintenance.

Habitat for Humanity: volunteers are needed to work on the building sites--skilled or unskilled are welcome.

St. Joseph's Diner: volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve meals.

United Christian Outreach: assist with supplying food, clothing, medical etc. with Christian understanding of the need.

Meals-On-Wheels: Drivers are needed to deliver meals to homebound persons 60+ years of age.

Nursing Home Services: Services led by Rev. Ira Robinson at local nursing homes. Volunteers needed to help with the services.
