Making a Difference Through Our Actions!

Asburians are a people of God who make a difference through their faith and actions. At Asbury, we believe this charges every member to be in mission to the world. As United Methodists, we are connected to the world through missions.

Below are a few of the organizations we use to make this connection. You can also check out the mission tabs to the left to see more mission opportunities in our area!

UMCOR:

United Methodist Committee on Relief located in Baldwin; volunteers are needed to package products to be sent all over the world. More information may also be found on the web at:
www.sagerbrown.org.

Wesley United Campus Ministry:

Brings the gospel of Jesus Christ to students at ULL. Volunteers are needed to prepare food and handy work at the center. You can call the main office at 337-235-6073
and you can visit their site below for more info:

Louisiana Methodist Children's Home:

The home provides a continuum of in home, out-patient, and residential care for children and families experiencing crisis, emotional and relationship problems. We support this organization in several ways, but an easy and great way to support them financially is to purchase the Screaming Owl Salsa for sale in the AYM Cafe Ignite. Proceeds from those sales go to our the LMCH and our youth ministry! For more info on the LMCH, visit their site below

Volunteers in Mission:

We see the Kingdom of God as being participatory. That means you are involved. Every year our church goes on several national and international missions. These international trips and domestic trip allow us to reach outside to serve the people of God. Mission trips include: Reynosa, Mexico; Honduras; Columbus, Ohio; and, Cambodia.Visit the Louisiana VIM information page!
